Paying in instalments

Some Unvamp checkouts let you spread the cost. This page explains who is lending you the money, what it costs, what happens if you miss a payment, and where to complain if something goes wrong.

1. In short

Where instalment payment is offered, the credit comes from a third-party lender — not from Unvamp. Unvamp introduces you to that lender and is acting as a credit broker. Your credit agreement is with the lender, and it is the lender you deal with for payments, arrears and complaints about the credit itself.

2. Who lends the money

Depending on the option you choose at checkout, the lender is Klarna Bank AB (publ) or Clearpay Finance Limited. Which options appear depends on your country, your currency, and the lender’s own eligibility checks. Each lender’s own terms and privacy notice apply to the credit agreement, and you will see them before you commit.

3. What it costs

These arrangements are interest-free: you repay the ticket price in instalments with no interest charged by the lender for paying on schedule. Unvamp does not add a fee for choosing to pay in instalments — the ticket price is the same either way. The lender may charge fees for late or missed payments; those are set out in the agreement you sign with them.

4. If you miss a payment

Missing payments can cost you money and make credit harder to obtain in future. Depending on the lender and the agreement, a missed payment may result in a late fee, may be reported to credit reference agencies, and may affect your credit file and your ability to borrow elsewhere. If you are struggling, contact the lender early — they are required to treat customers in financial difficulty fairly.

5. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and meet the lender’s affordability and eligibility criteria. The lender decides whether to offer you credit; Unvamp does not make that decision and is not told the reasons behind a decline. Being declined does not affect your ability to buy the same ticket by card or wallet.

6. Regulatory status (UK)

Deferred Payment Credit has been regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority since 15 July 2026. It is interest-free credit repayable in 12 or fewer instalments over 12 months or less. Regulation means you get pre-contract information about the agreement, protection against unaffordable lending, and access to independent dispute resolution.

Unvamp acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Where required, we act under the appropriate FCA permission or an exemption; our regulatory details are shown at the point of checkout where a credit option is presented.

7. Refunds and cancellations

If your event is cancelled or materially changed and you are entitled to a refund under our Refund Policy, we refund the lender, and the lender adjusts or cancels your remaining instalments. Until that adjustment reaches you, keep paying as scheduled — stopping payments before the lender has processed the refund can trigger a late fee that we cannot reverse on your behalf.

A refund does not by itself end your credit agreement; the lender closes it once the refunded amount is applied.

8. Complaints

For anything about the credit agreement — payments, fees, affordability, arrears — complain to the lender first. If they do not resolve it to your satisfaction, UK customers can refer the complaint free of charge to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

9. Your data

To offer instalment payment we share the information the lender needs to assess and service the agreement — typically your name, contact details and the order amount. The lender is an independent controller of that data and their privacy notice governs it. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data on our side.
