Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 · effective September 2026 · Previous versions

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Unvamp sets, what each category does, how long it lasts, and how to change your choices at any time.

1. What this covers

“Cookies” here means cookies and equivalent technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixels — set by Unvamp or by a provider acting on our behalf when you use unvamp.com, the attendee and organiser app, or the admin console.

2. Your choices

Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the service cannot function without them. Every other category is off until you opt in, and you can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and refusing optional cookies does not reduce access to any part of the platform.

3. Categories we use

Strictly necessary — always on

Session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in, the CSRF token that protects form submissions from cross-site forgery, the load-balancer affinity cookie, and your cookie consent choice itself. Typical lifetime: session to 12 months for the consent record. These cannot be switched off because the platform cannot authenticate you or protect a checkout without them.

Functional — opt in

Remembers your market, language, currency display preference, theme, and recently viewed events. Typical lifetime: up to 12 months. Refusing these means those preferences reset each visit.

Analytics — opt in

Aggregate usage measurement — which pages are reached, where journeys fail, how fast pages load. We use this to find broken flows and slow surfaces. Typical lifetime: up to 13 months.

Marketing — opt in

Measures whether a campaign led to a ticket purchase, and limits how often you see the same promotion. Typical lifetime: up to 13 months. Refusing these does not stop you seeing promotions; it stops them being tailored or attributed.

4. Cookies set by others

Some cookies are set by providers we use to deliver the service: our payment processors set fraud-prevention cookies during checkout, and our streaming delivery network sets cookies to route playback. These are covered by the relevant provider’s own policy; the current list of providers is in our subprocessors list.

5. Browser controls

Your browser can block or delete cookies independently of our banner. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and checkout from working. Most browsers also send a Global Privacy Control signal if you enable it, which we treat as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing under the CCPA/CPRA.

6. Changes

When we add a cookie category or a new provider that sets cookies, we update this page and re-prompt for consent where the change materially alters what we set. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version.
